Parent Orientation
Due to the high demand of the
SEEK program, we require that students participate in the entire three
(3) week duration of the program. Students who are unable to meet this
requirement will forfeit their spot in the program for the current
program year, but will be eligible to reapply the following year.
We require all parents attend a mandatory parent orientation and
registration session held on the Saturday before the program begins
(date and location TBA upon acceptance). Parents who do not attend the
registration will forfeit their spot to a student on the waiting list.
If you are unable to attend the mandatory orientation, you must arrange
for a representative to attend on behalf of your child. Parental
involvement is an integral part of the sustenance and growth of the
SEEK program.
Meals
Lunch will be provided for all
students.
Mentors
Students will be instructed by NSBE collegiate students from across the country. The mentor to student ratio is 1:6. There are approximately 20-25 students per classroom with 5-6 mentors. Each site will have one Site Director and one Assistant Site Director.
